You have missed the heyday of RedMarx, as such, allow me to re-direct your attention to some of our best theoretical moments.

This thread contains a useful directory to topics you may find interesting

learning-forum-index-t324.html

That thread actually serves the purpose of this one mostly, but I needed closure with my website dammit.

Also check out these threads

rate-of-profit-t1153.html a nice dismantling of Heinrich

the-dictatorship-of-the-proletariat-as-a-state-t964-20.html as the title says, a bit of bickering, but salvage from it what you will

the-falling-rate-of-profit-an-academic-paper-t906.html some discussion on the FROP

nihilist-communism-discussion-t678.html a criticism of Nihilist Communism

marx-on-nature-based-socialism-t566.html ZeroNowhere made a topic, you should read it

industrial-proletariat-t405.html Me being hung up on Nihilist Communism some more

hegels-formal-wills-and-democratic-principles-t316.html Zero made a topic

The best for last, this is what I consider to be the crown jewel of RedMarx

weekly-marx-quote-discussion-t59.html

Zero mostly talking to himself.

Sorry you missed all the fun, but you can always catch me on AIM (who still uses that anyway) at whichthatisnt

A brief summary of our frequent users:

Creep: A dependable Hoxhaist who at times got suspiciously touchy about bunkers. Could be amusingly offensive, while not living up to their name mostly. Didn't generally seem that engaged with their 'Hoxhaist' views, which seemed strange, but nonetheless were along for the ride and had an enjoyable time of it on their own part. Didn't tend to be as reluctant about forum activities as the others, which was generally good. Probably also claimed to like Ellie Goulding and Coldplay.
ZeroNowhere: Discussed theoretical matters and orchestrated enjoyable activities, admittedly while neglecting social life and parties. Thereby made both of these redundant, and the incongruencies of some other posters perhaps flowed from the attempt to pretend otherwise in order to maintain their social life. Would not discuss Taylor Swift, might discuss their album titles becoming socialist in-jokes in reality, but would probably still discuss theoretical matters. Wrote poetry like this (I sort of felt like including the poetry thing because it hearkens back to the traits associated with 'Mary Sues,' although ZeroNowhere is not a female), but generally disapproved of poetic 'modernism,' as well as the tendency for this to make actual art harder for people to create or others to notice. Nonetheless, was renowned for their dourness because they were a prude.
Savage: Repeats stuff said by ZeroNowhere or Australians. Is interested in Zero Dark Thirty and people named Shayne. A good lad.
S. Artesian: Back in the day, tended to err on the side of discontent and negativity in terms of phrasing, although alongside this recounting statistics more neutrally.
Red Dave: Counted dead people in the war on Eye-rack. Useful. Probably hates tits, even the birds who are tits.
Zanthorus: Moody. Eventually disliked reading Marxist texts or discussing or engaging with politics due to this moodiness. This arose mostly from their shift from discussing Marx and such with us to discussing their personal social difficulties and hopes and their homosexuality, etc., which are so different from Marx that Marx would probably refer them to a Friedrich Engels. Was also a Revleft moderator, perhaps aided by these frequent digressions into personal strife and homosexuality, which was all that Revleft had earlier seemed interested in constructing boards for. A dramatic case, who occasionally delved into discussing historical Marxism especially, but mostly despite their tenuously holding onto absolute values was not always too engaged personally in these discussions.
Devrim: Discussed Turkish issues, and occasionally the ICC's views. Did not discuss their own views except with reference to these, assuming they had views. Was probably a Turkish nationalist regardless.
9: Claimed to be a female, but in any case other than their number you weren't getting any other information about them, mostly, except that they happened to be disenchanted with something. Like a football player who walked up to people, showed them their number, and then left the conversation there. Some might say 9 was more conversant.
Noa: Well, at least they thought that females were freaks. Kind of. They might have been on drugs, if the others hadn't got there first.
Kontrrazvedka: They liked Asian females, and also assorted oriental regimes in a mostly ironic manner. Probably thought that Sonia Gandhi was the original Kareena Kapoor, and also that this somehow relates to attractiveness rather than to each never having a youth. One of the silent minority who seemed to enjoy discussions but people would pretend that they weren't there because they weren't loud, so they talked about females randomly.
Railyon: Also discussed assorted oriental communist writers, for some reason, but mostly because they were a libcom hipster who probably listened to Vampire Weekend for religious reasons. Liked to come off as stoned and not concerned about anything, after perhaps once getting drugged on Mary-Jane or ecstasy and confusing their name for 'relativism.' Had little motive for most of their interests, but occasionally sat back and enjoyed some of the posting going on on RM.
Welshy: Wales, sheep and tentacles, and they tried to live up to this legacy but seemed a bit restrained, as if Broletariat was being disapproving somehow. Similar to Kontrrazvedka, but if they were Devrim.

And a post recounting, vaguely, activity in our Admin forums:

ZeroNowhere wrote:
If the threads started by a member on this board were to be summarised in one title, here are some plausible leads:

ZeroNowhere: We are teh ebilz, but romantic relationships are not teh ebilz. This contradicts their only ethos which is cuteness.
S. Artesian: Technical issues [but I'll pretend to still be interested in Tiqqun.]
Broletariat: We should stop and turn back, the forum is getting too extreme for me.
Savage: So I'm just saying, should we help Red Dave count Iraq War casualties?
kkkk: What excites you? I am your heroin. You probably remember that cheerleader film called 'Fired Up!' (in loving homage to Feuerbach) starring 'Sarah Roemer' as Carly because ZeroNowhere was the popular one, I'm like that, but I'm ZeroNowhere's alter-ego who is slightly different, so you should all like me more than ZeroNowhere who admittedly is me. Call me beautiful.
Ogion (who turns up so to speak tangentially): Castration disturbs me. I can't half tease y'all with phrases until you think that there might be something at all meaningful there, then I get angered by an image which isn't even real pornography. Have a name which seems suspect in such a context, generally.

Was an Admin when RM was important. Was since confused with Negative Creep for being active.

Here to say that the forum isn't dead and life is set to return, at the least I'll be active here posting my thoughts and hoping to generate Marxist discussion, as such I've removed this as a general announcement.
