So, anyone notice there's a new subreddit called r/neoliberal which unapologetically identifies as neoliberal and defends sweatshops in the third world because it's better than subsistence farming.

I was reading someone from their sub trying to defend the sub, he claimed that no economic system has done more to help the poor globally than capitalism...

And they're making it to the front page with low effort anti-Trump/anti-Le Pen posts.

It's great stuff.

I think reddit needs to be recognised as the fascist friendly and leftist hostile website that it is. Subreddits that openly call for violence against communists and leftists more generally are allowed and fine, but the anarchist subreddit is getting shut down hard over the ambiguous phrase "bash the fash."

The problem with politics on Reddit is the same as the problem with politics on Facebook, Twitter and other similar social media platforms. It really isn't designed for indepth discussions. Reddit is designed for posting simple images or short gifs, the discussion element of the sight is mostly tacked on and riddled with issues, most notably the fact that posts gain visibility based on how many people upvote them. You can't break politics down into simple memes, as little as you can discuss it in blocks of 140 characters.

A lot of anti-capitalist content does make it to the top, r/LateStageCapitalism frequently gets front page posts but again the content is just extremely low effort because that's what tends to rise to the top.
