I think it's well past the time to liquidate the concept of the 'aristocracy of labor' from the revolutionary movement.

By using two recent episodes of the class struggle (Summer 2016), Reciprocal Solidarity attempts to establish what the terms of this liquidation could look like in contemporary socialist practice.

Was there ever a legitimate justification for revolutionaries to deride and disown segments of the working-class solely on the basis of their relatively higher living standards and relative independence due to higher levels of craft skill?

Is this a loophole for communists to abdicate from their role as the only force which acts in the interest of the whole class?

The article also attempts to define what acting in the interests of the whole class is in the contemporary class struggle.
