What problems do you see in your communities that you realistically have resources to mobilize to meet the needs of? Do you already have some sort of organization on-going to help out? Share with us and hopefully we can find solutions to mutual problems or link-up our existing efforts. Do you have any questions about the work me and my friends are attempting to do?

As much as I would rather not validate the Trotskyists, this report on the formation of a labor defense guard by militants of a United Auto Workers local union (with the support of the membership and the elected leadership) to protect black members who were targets of physical violence is worth remembering:

[Reprinted from Workers Vanguard No. 67, 25 April 1975]

Quote:
CHICAGO, April 18 — C. B. Dennis, black UAW union member, has been trying to move into the white neighborhood of Broadview. His house was firebombed and stoned repeatedly. But tonight, like every night for the past week, the Dennis family home is being protected by an integrated defense guard of his union brothers. Local 6 of the United Auto Workers, International Harvester, voted unanimously at the membership meeting Sunday to set up the defense guard. . .

I think we ought to expect a resumption of ICE work place and school raids. Trump and the Trump ets want to reverse the "bad publicity" from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upholding the TRO against the EO, and "prove" he's serious about his "promises." So no district judge is going to TRO the round up of the undocumented-- and I think the govt will move to "expedited" expulsions-- figuring if a court enjoins that, it will rally the core of Trump's support.
